The Capay Valley Emergency Response Auxiliary (CVERA) is made up of Capay Valley community members joined together to support the first responders of the Capay Valley Fire District during an evacuation or other type of emergency.
Here are examples of some of the services that we can provide:
Food deliveries to our first responders on the front lines
Open the Guinda fire station to be used as a cooling station during high heat events
Open the Guinda fire station, which has back-up power, during power outages
Transport people who need assistance during an evacuation
Provide information to the community during emergency events
Keep the Guinda fire station organized and tidy
Provide advice about how to keep your home fire safe
Formed in 2020, we are still building our skills and developing our programs. We welcome any volunteers from the community who wish to join with us.
